Terms & Conditions
By booking a place on one of our courses or workshops you agree to the following terms and conditions.
CONDUCT OF MEMBERS
Members are liable to pay for any breakages or damage to the contents, furniture, equipment etc. belonging to VivaVoices or the venue proprietor. VivaVoices accepts no liability for loss or damage to property suffered on the premises or grounds. Any negative behaviour towards the Choir Leader or fellow members will result in membership being cancelled without refund.
HEALTH AND SAFETY, EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES
VivaVoices assumes no responsibility for accidents or injury to individuals participating in the course. The Choir Leader will make reasonable adjustments and offer support to members with health problems and disabilities.
COURSE PAYMENT AND REFUND POLICY
The fee is payable before the commencement of the course and is non-transferable. Fees are based on booked sessions, not attendance; refunds or credits will not be given to sessions missed due to sickness or holiday. A part-refund may be available to a member withdrawing from the course on medical grounds on receipt of a medical certificate; a £10 administration charge will apply.
CHOIR SESSION CANCELLATION
In the event that a session is cancelled due to severe weather, tutor illness, or other circumstances beyond our control, members will contacted by us; if in doubt, call 01284 700286. The cancelled session will either be rearranged or if this is not possible, we will issue a credit note to the value of proportion of the fee for the missed session, which can be used as part-payment for a VivaVoices course or singing day; no cash refunds will be given.
CHOIR CANCELLATION
The formation and continuation of the choir is dependent on sufficient bookings and satisfactory attendance. If the choir is cancelled before the first session has taken place due to insufficient bookings, members shall receive a full refund of the fee. In the event that the choir is cancelled after the first session has taken place due to unsatisfactory attendance, members shall receive a refund for the outstanding sessions.
SINGING DAY PAYMENT AND REFUND POLICY
The fee is payable prior to the date of the singing day and is non-transferable. We operate a strictly no-refund policy: fees are based on places booked, not attendance; refunds or credits will not be given if the singing day is missed due to sickness or holiday.
SINGING DAY CANCELLATION
The singing day will only proceed with a minimum number of bookings. If the singing day is cancelled due to insufficient bookings, the member shall receive a full refund. In the event that the singing day is cancelled due to severe weather, choir leader illness, or other circumstances beyond our control, we will issue a credit note, which can be redeemed against the booking fee for a future VivaVoices course or singing day; no cash refunds will be given.
PERSONAL INFORMATION, DATA PROTECTION, ADVERTISING
Your personal information will not be disclosed to any third party. Members should inform us of any important changes e.g. a change of address. We reserve the right to take photographs, video and sound recordings during the sessions for use in our brochures, website and general advertising etc. We may from time to time contact you by email and provide additional facilities, such as audio downloads; those who do not have internet facilities may not be able to avail themselves of some of these additional provisions.
